Easter-with-children

The Easter holidays are a perfect time for enjoying a weekend away or a day out with the family. If you haven’t made any plans yet about what to do with the children here are some ideas to help you weave the perfect plan. These are our proposals, stitch by stitch. Keep on reading!

1. Easter with children in the snow

The winter season is coming to an end but some ski stations stay open until after Easter. In addition to snow sports like skiing and snowboarding, there are many other things for children to have fun with, such as going for a ride on a snow-bike or in a sledge. Before you organize your trip, check the dates when ski resorts close and read the recommendations for taking your children out in the snow, which we told you all about in an earlier post.

2. Easter with children in nature

Spring is just around the corner, the days are getting longer and the temperatures warmer. This is the ideal time for organizing things to do in the open air and your children will love any plans you make. You can make the most of it to organize a trip to a natural park or a country hotel. And if you can’t stretch your budget that far, there are always green areas in your city or village where you can go for a walk, a run or go out to play while you enjoy nature.

3. Easter with children on the beach

If you feel like enjoying some sun and sea, there is nothing like a family holiday on the beach. Children feel free running round on the sand and paddling in the sea, and for babies it helps them stimulate their senses. As long as you take the appropriate precautions, going to the beach is something the whole family will enjoy.

4. Easter with children in the city

These holidays can also be a good opportunity to discover a city without the usual hurry. Make the most of it to visit some of the museums in the city where you spend your holidays. They will probably have organized some kind of activities for children to help them understand the exhibitions they have in a fun way.
There is normally plenty to do in a city during school holidays – plays at the theatre, musicals, thematic days, all kinds of shows … take a look at what’s on and enjoy your time in the street or at the city’s auditoriums.

If there is a zoo or an aquarium in the city you choose, then you can’t afford to miss it – make the most of the chance to teach children respect for animals and nature.

And of course, amusement parks and water parks, if the weather is good, are an inexhaustible source of fun if you are travelling with children.

Don’t miss the most interesting streets in the city, telling your children all the anecdotes you might know about them. You could also eat typical things in a local restaurant. There are lots of restaurants that have children’s menus and areas for them to play in while they are waiting for the food to come or for their parents to finish chatting over coffee. The experience of eating out and doing food tourism is without doubt a great way of getting children to discover other habits and customs.

OK then, we have given you some ideas – so all you need to do now is make your mind up and pack. Have a good trip!
